Title: Fancy testing a new fellwalking app?
Post by: MichaelZ on 19:27:39, 06/09/20
Hi there,

I am new here and came across this forum while looking for fellwalkers who might be interested in testing out a new iOS app. The app is for the planning of Wainwright routes and can be used as a navigation help (it works offline). It also lets you log the summits you've bagged and confirms if you are on the actual Wainwright summit. The current version is for iPhone 8 and newer. Android will come at a later point if it looks as if people like to use it. To do the Beta testing, you will need to install TestFlight (it's an Apple test framework which you can find in the App store). If you are interested, please get in touch via this forum or you can send me a direct email via fellbaseapp at gmail dot com.

BTW I am based in Cumbria and the whole idea for the app came about while fellwalking myself. It was a fun project and hopefully someone else finds it useful too. Any feedback is welcome.

Cheers!
Michael
