Title: Two bags anxiety
Post by: burntfruit on 08:54:23, 01/12/19
Hi.

My current gear is:

Osprey Hikelite 18 - For hydration pack, first aid, spare clothes
Maxpedition Fatboy versipack - For my GPS, camera, leatherman etc.

I have used this gear set up on two day hikes and it was fine.

But I am worried I am carrying too much. What do you think?

I got the fatboy as it seemed a good solution to keep those items I need quickly without having to stop and take off my pack.

Seems fine to me. A good solution if you need easy access to your camera.

If you're happy, why not; everyone has their own way  O0

I guess I'm much more traditional in that I use one rucksack (38ltr) and everything is in there. I don't carry a camera or a GPS, my phone can do both if I want it to but I very rarely bother

There's no right or wrong really  ;)

Thanks for calming me chaps.

Another thing - I got the fatboy because during winter I wear waterproof overtrousers. These do not have a belt or pockets hence the need for the extra bag.

Not actually spam per se but a lengthy piece of copied-and-pasted waffle totally unrelated to either the thread or the forum.

The "member" is still active because the post was edited (shortened) within minutes of me posting my comment. This suggests to me human involvement rather than a bot, though I could be wrong.
