I'll be started my South Downs Way walk on Friday, I look forward to having the same views as you keep teasing me with  O0

Good luck with the walk!  I look forward to hearing about your adventures on the South Downs    :)

Saturday in the Lyth Valley - it's the local Damson Day fair.
Sunday will be with some chaps from work walking Pen Y Ghent and around the area.
Only a hill but all of life to me, up there between the sunset and the sea.

I walked in Ashdown Forest today, going over high heathlands bright with gorse and through an enchanting deep wooded ravine.

I experienced Morris Dancing in East Meon today....interesting.

On to Grafham in the morning along the South Downs Way which I have enjoyed so far...apart from the flies.

Leading an 11 mile walk on Saturday; Highshaw Clough, Moscar, Stanage End, Stanage Edge, North Lees, Bamford Edge & Hordron Edge....with a lot of lovely bits in between!  Weather looks fairly good too! 8)

With much anticipation, a pleasant circular in the South Downs from East Meon, taking in Butser Hill and Old Winchester Hill.
Hopefully the Sustainability Centre about half way round will be open for refreshments.

I camped there on Saturday night, their cafe was open then (or so the sign said).

Bank holiday weekend, Winchester Hill will be busy.

Cumbria for us this weekend. Nothing too strenuous as hubby is getting over a cold and I am still getting my walking condition back after the winter.

Sallows and Sour Howes today from Troutbeck, possibly followed by a visit to the newly reopened Queen's Head.

Tomorrow I quite fancy something around Kirkstile/Loweswater - but we'll see.

I walked from Patcham on the northern outskirts of Brighton on to the South Downs today, going up on to Newtimber Hill, which has a lovely display of bluebells, and came down into Poynings and wended my way to the Devil's Dyke.  Fine, sunny and warmer    :)

Just did Scafell pike for the first time at 56. Sat morning from Wastwater end. So busy. At least 600-700 folk. Good view of Great Gable near the top. But apart from that was way to "commercial" to thoroughly enjoy. At least I've done it though.

A good reason to do the less popular hills and areas when it's a Bank Holiday  O0

Yes, we got it wrong this time. Usually do southern lakes in winter and move north and west as the season develops and the tourists flock in.

The two folks I was with reckoned it was nearer 1,000 people. Was just a snake of them as far as the eye could see
