Costa del sol coastal walk from Benalmadena to Fuengirola - Oct 2009

This was a walk starting from the resort of Benalmadena (where I stayed) and taking in the coastline to the next resort of Fueringirola. There were times when the beach just disappeared and I had to clamber and scramble over the rocks, great fun but when you can't swim like me it was a bit hairy at times! Fantastic walk though and certainly different from the Peaks or Lakes or Dales.

I think so Butler...well I had my sunglasses on and cap most of the time so I guess it must have been! lol  ;D

Looks just what I need just now. I take it the rocks were not too mossy or slipery. I could just go the sun on my back as I walk for a while.

Steve did you take the cable car ride up the mountain at the back of Benalmadena,we did and the view was fantastic.Noticed a few paths on the way up,but it was to hot to walk plus the fact we had stinking hangovers didnt help.

Yes Max I certainly did. 2nd time I've been up there but this time I walked all around the summit. As you say stunning views! I was going to walk up but couldn't find a path and when I went onto the cable car I noticed the path starts after you go over the motorway. One guy took his mountain bike up on the cable and cycled down!
