Could not think of where else to put this as I have walked in the Lakes, Snowdonia and the Yorkshire Dales (as well as the Western Pennines and the Forest of Bowland). Anyway, here it is:

I know, I'm itching to get going again! Hate this time of the year but when we get to December 21st everything will start to get better, longer days and shorter nights! Just got to get to the other side of Christmas and the New year first!

Been a year of (relative) apathy for me on the walking front.

I've actually walked about 20 miles each week...but large majority of it has been walks built into weekly routine (e.g 6 mile route with my sister to walk dog on Tuesdays, stuff like that).

I reckon longest walk I've done all year is probably about 12 miles (counting "everything" it was: 2 miles walk to train station, train to Chinley, 8 mile route to Edale, train back to Chesterfield, two mile walk back from station).

About to go for a 3 day walking break based on Shrewsbury. But put it this way...I've not packed a torch. Reckon I'll do a few riverside meanders...might aim for a couple of six to eight milers.

I dare not post a list of my walks this year, there'd be too much blank space, unless you count hospital corridors and a short, but painful, wander around Baddesley Clinton a few weeks back.

But it's nice to see others getting out and their reviews.  O0
