I did a beautiful walk from Arundel today, taking in the South Downs and the river Arun

Yep it's lovely there, I normally finish at the Black Rabbit  O0

Back from 3days 2 nights at Mankinholes Youth Hostel. Took all my food with me and didn't open my purse once. Hostel cost £14 total, so a brilliant cheap holiday. Place to myself the first night, and one other person there the second night. 28  miles walked, a lot of ascent and descent so now got achy thigh muscles. It was very windy and bloomin cold, but brilliant scenery. Sorting photo's, will be on my blog over the next few days.

I went a walk today around Pulborough Brooks in the Arun Valley and in the heathy woodlands of Wiggonholt Common, areas just to the north of the South Downs.

Post walk edit.  The Exmoor Forest Inn at Simonsbath was disappointing.  Not on my go back to list.

I went a walk from Petworth today, in the beautiful countryside of the Wealden Greensand, partly on the Serpent Trail.

Took a swift walk around Burrator reservoir on Wednesday evening, after work.  A route I've been meaning to walk all summer.  Taking in all the significant Tors and some 700m of Accents. The crisp cool Autumn air meant I could maintain what was for me flat out for the 3 hours it took me. :)   Had hoped to make sunset atop Sharpie Tor, but mist it by about 10 mins. Must try harder. ;D

Leading a group along 6 of the Peak District 'Edges' today. O0   Hoping to spot the Red Deer along White Edge... but I suspect we wont be there early enough.  A few miles to walk before we get to that bit!
