Got a couple of nights camping booked in West Ayton for Wed/Thur.  Hoping for dry weather!  Planning on fitting in a couple of little walks round the campsite's woodland and the Forge Valley, though my main reason for going up there is for a fused glass workshop  :)

I walked from Heathfield via Rushlake Green today on the fringes of the Sussex High Weald. A scenic walk in lush rolling countryside, with woodland and beautiful views, and taking in a stretch of the Cuckoo Trail, an old railway route.

Off up Stanage Edge tomorrow, then over Higger Tor/Carl Wark before returning via Padley Gorge. Bit of a mud bath everywhere atm, so should be fun! :D

Really chuffed the weather held out for us so we got Helm Crag ticked off then did Crinkle Crags yesterday with just a minor shower on the way down. Even managed to do Catbells after a spoons brekkie this morning and home to sunny Tynemouth without getting too stuck in the mad city traffic.

Catbells was hilarious! I've never seen a full on domestic on a trail full of families. I'd hate to be "Sarah's" husband right now. What an absolute plonker shouting at the top of his voice at his scared wife, tired kids and completely embarrassing the folk out on a nice walk. I'll bet he's in the dog house for at least a week. What a place to air your dirty laundry??!!!

Glad to be home and clean with my feet up.

I walked from Storrington to Washington today, partly on the South Downs Way.  Lovely being on the downs in the sunshine    :)

I'm off to Hope Cross tomorrow, then the quarries at the end of Kinder Scout to scout out a few locations for possible sunrise / sunsets heading into Autumn. Thursday I'm going to try and get on Bleaklow, as longs as something further down the Snake doesn't make me stop

I walked in the Dudwell valley today, to the south of the picturesque village of Burwash, in the beautiful lush rolling countryside of the Sussex High Weald.
