To get better I think I need some consistency (i.e. film more and edit more).  The good news is, I don't think I'm getting worse!

Roughyed, no music is so weird. Maybe that could become your niche though. I remember some Japanese films I used to watch by Takeshi Kitano. I realised what made them so strange was that they had no music. We are so used to music playing a big part in film, especially for creating atmosphere/feelings. Without it you decide for yourself what you feel.

Personally I like no music. It seems to invade every corner of our lives,  and to those of us whose hearing isn't  too great , it just doesn't help being in the background permanently  drowning other more important messages. By the way I am a musician (hence the hearing problems) so appreciate music in the right place at the correct time.

I do use music sometimes, but I also like the natural noises (the sea, skylarks).  I'm not sure I get the balance right to be honest.

I have given a bit of music a go!  Now all I need to do is not sound quite as monotone!

I liked the music with it. Well done on your videos.
I have been putting music with my video slide shows for some time but as they are home shows and the music is off discs and tapes, copyright stuff I can't put them out for all to see. Finding suitable sound tracks, for open source, seems to be a bit of a problem. I prefer not use soundtrack with singing as they never seem quite right and I don't seem to have the patience to listen to endless soundtracks trying to find something.

YouTube has a very extensive library of royalty free music available for use on videos. The library has a number of filters to make searching for something suitable easier

Thanks andybr, tried it some weeks ago and could make no sense of it. I was downloading and not getting any sound, just tried it and works perfect. My PC has been doing some very strange things recently, I think it is tied up with the Windows 10; May update, it's a nightmare. :tickedoff:

Lovely video roughyed.  It's a pity it's tucked away in this topic (started by maggot when he was trolling the forum).  It would fare better in the regional boards as a trip report  O0

I used to holiday at the caravan site at Crantock with my friend and her mum and dad when I was a kid... 1960s VW campervan ... happy days.

We used to camp at Trevella every year for about a decade.  Loved digging holes on that beach.   ;D

I put this on the forum as a separate TR in the rest of UK section, so not sure if it needs to be here too.  As always looking for constructive feedback!  It was a quick edit as I was in a rush, but it came out OK.  I think I can now knock out a fairly decent walking vlog consistently.  Getting views seems to be tough though?  Some channels seem to do well off some fairly average stuff, is it just a case of plodding on?
