Winter and Spring around Brighton
« on: 21:58:41, 08/04/18 »
I live in the City of Brighton and Hove in Sussex and do a lot of walking here in the urban environment and on the rural fringe
Just a few snaps from some of my walks around here this winter and into spring

Green Ridge on the edge of the South Downs on the northern outskirts of Brighton

Green Ridge

It's not often we get snow on the beach here! This is the seafront in Hove, looking westwards

The beach in Hove

Looking eastwards towards Brighton, with the ruins of the West Pier, and the Palace Pier beyond

Thanks for looking    :)

Lovely set of pictures, Dovegirl, especially the one of Green Ridge and the one of Hove beach - worked out really well with the seagull in shot!  O0

Such a shame about the pier, though it does make for an atmospheric photo - I took a couple myself last time I was down there.

Thanks for sharing.  :)

Loving the Green Ridge and Hove pictures next to each other - they're the same picture just in different places :)

Great pictures as always

Do you walk on the downs?
It's all uphill from here.

An area close to my heart, Dovegirl. I got to know Brighton in my younger wilder days and now my son and his family live there - he regularly walks the downs.

Very nice photos - thank you.

I walked with the Sussex Downsmen for a number of years and got to know the Downs well.
It's all uphill from here.
