If you let it grow long enough you won't need a sleeping bag  :D

Or (it is OK to suggest it ?) Toilet paper.

If you men shaved off all of your body hair you would save a bit of weight, depending on how hairy you were of course  :)

But then I would have to wear more clothes!

And get a heavier tent with 'no-mesh'.

Tread Lite Gear Hound ²O  Cuben Fiber Ultralight Collapsible Folding Dog Bowl 5g

Yours for the sum of £15.99 (I use the bottom cut out of a 2 litre milk bottle - weight 11g; cost £0.00)

Any other contenders for this title?

Also doubles as a swimming pool for your pet gerbil. Worth every penny.

And don't forget to snap your toothbrush handle in half to save weight - it has been done before, honest.

And drill holes in the remaining half.

And you could cut the white parts of the map just keeping the coloured bits.

I can't believe all the hyper-ultra-super-mega-lightweight backpackers amongst you haven't discovered Thneeds yet.

All you need is a Thneed:

"A Thneed's a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need!  [size=0pt] It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove. It's a hat.
But it has other uses. Yes, far beyond that.
You can use it for carpets. For pillows! For sheets!
Or curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!  "

I have actually done this  :-[    :o

But only so the toothbrush fits in the hip belt pocket of my Exos  ;D

When I see this it reminds me that I bought a Sea to Summit bowl for £30. I feel a bit foolish now.

Think of the weight of all that dog food you would need to carry.

Of course there is an alternative. >:D

Dogs are pretty good at pulling you uphill though.

Problem is, they are pretty good at pulling you downhill as well!  :o
