Minehead to Brean Down - 'New' coast path
« on: 15:08:13, 16/03/16 »
Good to see the Englad Coast Path coming along but is this really a new route or picking up existing paths with the addition of a nice new bridge thrown in?
And, can anyone find details of the actual route? I've googled but without success.

PS Coincidentally, my avatar was taken at Stert Point March last year.
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

I'd read about this today too, somewhere else to head to from Bristol

Try this map

You can zoom it in to OS 1:25000 level

Thank you - that's great - you've no idea how long I spent looking for exactly that! Goodness knows why I didn't find it.
I was interested tosee if it utilised the Parret Trail which in 2014, according to 'Ruth's Coastal Walk' blog was very difficult between Stert and Bridgewater.
Looking forward to adding it to the SWCP

You're welcome Jac O0

Looks likes it's quite a long section of the walk up and back down the River Parret to Bridgewater. A new bridge at Combwich would have been nice!! (but way too expensive I'm sure)

I've not walked along there at all so something else to add to my to do list :)
Enjoy every sandwich

Rather be walking

Thanks for the link Annejacko. O0

We're both on a weeks walking holiday at Minehead in July so will have a look.
