The cave is definitely their as I have been it's up on the right hand side high up enough to see raf jets fly below you whilst they do there training. The door of the cave is made out of rocks and if you can locate it a few feet away is a lever buried 10 cm deep covered by rocks pull it an a rock face will swing open! It has a furnace in bunk beds and notes left by people who have has the opportunity to find it, I was led to believe a fellow chose to hide out there during the 1st world War to avoid being called up unfortunately he was classed as a coward :(

What an interesting topic, enjoyed reading it, seems I must have missed it back in June 2013. Thanks for bringing it forward, and to those who contributed to it.

Me and 3 friends went in search fornthis cave 3 years ago and after hours and hours of searching we could not find it. So we set up camp for the night to have a fellow hiker walk by also searching for the cave. He then came back 3 minutes later claiming he found the cave. As a was curious to find it and travelled hours to get to the location he showed me the area it was all a had to do was find the door way. Very small and very well hidden as there is rocks stacked up we found the cave. We walked past these rocks countless time and couldn't see a thing but thanks to the gent. Brilliant cave with a fire place and flume so if it's very cold whilst up there you can have a fire as others have left coal wood and even cooking facilities. Me and 3 of the lads have a good smoke in the cave and left half a spliffs each for other follow smokers
