Title: Harrop Tarn
Post by: marmot on 21:07:08, 25/07/07
Don't know if anyone's been here but it's a great little secluded tarn in easy reach (from the road around the back of Thirlmere).  Ideal for kids.  It has been quiet on my two visits but there is a small car park at the bottom and fairly well trodden paths, so it might be busier at times.

I've been there quite a few times but not recently. It used to be quite a wet area but maybe the paths have improved since I was last there.

It is quite boggy in the basin - around the tarn - but the paths are pretty good and there are ample places for a picnic etc.
