This turned out to be a really good day, and not because of the Daear Ddu Ridge. Though I enjoyed the ridge, my favourite 2 parts of the day were the walk up to the ridge past the slate quarry, and then the walk back along the crest of the mountain. Not the longest walk I've ever done, and far from the hardest scramble, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Did this pre winter I'm afraid so no snowy pictures

Another great TR... I really like Moel Siabod, it's such a beautiful mountain and has superb views in all directions.

Good TR and pics Harry.
Siabod is my bogey mountain. It's been on the list for a couple of years but every time I come to do it something else comes up.
I have to do it next year.

Enjoyed the TR
We have only walked Siabod once before, from Pont Cyfyng, up past the old quarries, Daear Ddu ridge then down towards Capel Curig, through the forest and back, it’s a fine walk for sure.

Nice one.
A great little mountain and in August I did it back to front so to speak. Makes a great alternative from the norm.
Great TR and photo's
