[Trip Report] - ish. Curbar Edge
« on: 20:45:42, 17/02/08 »
Just before we did our British Heart Foundation walk in November we did a training amble around Curbar Edge.

It's typical moorland really (but with a pub!), so I won't write very much just post the pics.

It was quite easy going really, no steep ascents and slightly drizzling. As a training walk (8 miles ish) it wasn't ideal for the High Peak Trail, mainly as the High Peak Trail has two pretty steep hills at the start and on the day it snowed and rained alot. That said our group finished and raised roughly £1000 for the BHF.

Still a nice walk if a little short.

Enjoy the pictures. Fingers crossed I'll be photo bucketing from now on.

These boots were made for walking so that's just what I'll do. After I've re-proofed them of course...

Nice pics, mate.

Looks pretty cold that day, but walking in the mist can be a bonus in the right circumstances!  ;)

Yes weller Curbar/white edge are in the white peak, not in the national park though. It's a few miles West of Chesterfield.

Hi Blister,

It wasn't misty but it was drizzly!
