Photos from a recent trip to Snowdonia
« on: 11:06:55, 26/07/18 »
Hi guys,

Figured these were worth a share. Apologies for the quality of the photos, they were all taken with my battered old iPhone 6 so definition is poor and they're pretty grainy... but the views are good!

Castell Dolbadarn

Llyn Idwal, ridiculously beautiful and one of my favourite places I've ever been

Another of Llyn Idwal on the path up to Idwal Slabs. We soon got out of our comfort zone and had to turn back but it was worth it for this view

A view down to Llyn Mwyngil (absolutely LOVE the driving in Wales!)

Llyn Llydaw

Llyn Padarn

And the predictable tree photo

Ogwen Valley

Ogwen sunset

And finally, Llyn Cau part way up to Cadair Idris, my god, just SO many steps!

Thanks a lot mate. There can't be many vistas that beautiful that you can reach with such minimal effort. I wish they'd protect that tree though. It hurts watching groups of children climbing on it like it's part of a playground while their parents sit there knocking back cans of Stella instead of teaching them how to respect such things.

Dyffryn, they're honestly pretty awful. They'd be so much better if I had a proper camera. They're all taken with my dodgy old iPhone. When you look at them full size (if you click on them) you can see they're really ill defined and grainy, especially in the sky. Of course they look great on a phone screen!

Really kind of you to say Beefy, thanks mate.

I see you're supporting the ZipOff stuff. Stunned at what is being proposed.

Fab photos Petrolhead  O0

I'm off to get an iPhone!! They look pretty good on my laptop.

Re Beefy and Zip Off
We both changed our avatars using Zip Off pics when the Thirlmere Zip Wire planning application had been placed. Zip Off on Facebook worked tirelessly fighting the proposals, now they are Zip Off: Lakes Watch, continuing the good work. Sorry thread hijack.

Are you a professional photographer? Your photos are great  O0

April, thank you. Glad you like them.

BUT please do not get an iPhone unless you want to throw yourself into a glitchy, laggy and just plain annoying world!!!

 >:(

Thanks for the further info re Zip Off. I have a right old moan at all sorts of people today. And I have a list of people I'm going to contact to try and help gain some exposure. Plus my wife (works for the government) is going to look at something that could be done politically too. She's smarter than me!

And god no, I've never taken a proper photo in my life, I don't even know how to use a camera. I'm a designer so I guess I have a bit of an eye. Again, thanks so much.

So nice of you to say. You'd laugh if you saw what I took them with. The screen has been really smashed since December!
