OS maps on line issues
« on: 12:46:32, 07/02/19 »
Morning all

Is anyone else having problems with OS mapping today? - I have just started plotting a route from Buttermere and it is giving me a climb of 10,019 metres to walk up onto Red Pike and along to Haystacks.  Now I'm all for a bit of gentle exaggeration, but this seems a bit much.  Have logged out, logged back in but getting same results.

Maybe - but it is now telling me that the highest point on the land between Buttermere and Crummock Water is 985m asl.

Think there may be a bug on the site!  I'll try later I think.

Hope not as I'm planning to include that ridge line on my C2C walk in the summer, although will be heading up from Ennerdale water  O0

It’s a tough enough ascent up onto Red Pike without it growing.
It's all uphill from here.

Has there been any seismic activity in the area.  May have gone up a few meters. ;)
