What you do in the privacy of your own tent is entirely up to you. Sounds a bit sticky to me.

Looking at the forcecast, all midges alive in the Lake District will be drowned this weekend  O0

Along with everyone else  :(

So, no need to bother with marmite face mask  :D

Walked WHW in June/July last year (staying in B&B's) and was concerned after reading peoples experiences with the midges. Brought al the usual gear, head net, repellents etc etc and no sign of the little blighters. What a waste of money!

No doubts.  I find that it is horse flies that generally take a liking for me even on occasions drawing blood.  Savage beasts!
