I've had my precipe for around 5 years and used it on the PW and Offas Dyke LDWs as well as many day walks.  Still waterproof so I'd say it's up to the task  O0

TBH, I think you'd be best off going to stores, trying stuff on, judging the build-quality for yourself.


This. Everyone has their favorite make/model but everyone also has different priorities for what makes the prefect waterproof.

I'm way late to the party replying to this again, so apologies and thank you everyone for the great replies  O0


I ended up purchasing a Mountain Equipment Quarrel Jacket in the sale from Go Outdoors. I haven't been able to test it in very wet conditions yet but it performed great for a light drizzle and strong winds!

Looks like a very good jacket. Interesting fabric.
