Excellent photos Birdman.
We see more Red Throated Divers up here, than Black throated.
All a delight!

I also came across more Red Throated Divers on my walk, but they were too far away for a good photo. This Black-throated one was very close as you can see, so I was very lucky.

I like the fact that even their eyes are red.

I love the divers. I never saw any when I lived in England, but have seen black throated, red throated and great northern divers on Loch Torridon. I got some passable photos of the red and great northern plus a horrible one of the black throated diver, but I was not walking at the time.

Red Squirrels.... sit back and listen to the sounds in the woods.
Sorry it is a bit long, taking too long to process.

Excellent Dodgylegs.
They are so acrobatic cute and unfortunately quite rare.

Thanks.... I look forward to your next outing with your camera, what will you find this time?

Did you hear the sound of the Squirrels claws, during the chases? must be pretty sharp!

Were fortunate as we have a decent population of Reds in Northern England, some places request any sightings of Greys to be reported so they can be disposed of. Coming back into Byrness from Pennine Way walk to Chew Green, two Reds were just sitting in a tree staring at me!
Just recalled a really funny moment in Dodd Wood in Lakes. A guy had his camera on a tripod trained on the feeder waiting to photo a Red. He had been there sometime. On the Bankside behind him was a Red jumping about, the guy was totally oblivious!  :)

Sitting on the newly refurbished garden seat by the pond having a relaxing afternoon in the sun; heard a noise, ears pricked up ....

At first thought it's rats after the poison hidden behind a board; rats pinched the hens treats yesterday so they've got some treats of their own today!

Heard it again, then quiet, then again followed by a plop!

Recognised that sound, knew I had to get International Rescue (French Department) quickly to assist.....

Off came all the plants and the board covering the water butt, an old plastic water tank, to reveal a frog stuck inside.

International Rescue Frog Department  ;D   helped it out, placed on lawn to get it's breath back, it was there a while before hopping off.

Love a happy ending!
