Title: St Gemma's Hospice Leeds Midnight Walk
Post by: st gemmas hospice leeds on 16:55:59, 12/05/16
2016 sees The Leeds Midnight Walk celebrate its 10th anniversary! On Saturday 18th June 2016, join hundreds of St Gemma’s Hospice supporters and take on the 7 or 10 mile neon themed sponsored walk while raising money for the Hospice. Plus this year for the first time, St Gemma’s are inviting both men and women to take part in the event. Setting off from Xercise 4 Less Gym in Kirkstall at 10pm, the route takes walkers through Horsforth and onto West Park.

This really is a fantastic event where the community spirit for St Gemma’s Hospice can really be felt. Event Organiser Becky Hole said ‘Seeing hundreds of people walking in support of the Hospice is brilliant. Since the event began we have raised over £752,431 for St Gemma’s and to celebrate the events 10th anniversary we want to light up the streets neon, so all t-shirts will be brightly coloured! We would love to have 1000 walkers in this anniversary year!’ Raman Sankaran spokesperson for Simplyhealth who are sponsoring the event comments :“The Leeds Midnight Walk is a popular event which combines having tremendous fun along with fundraising for St Gemma’s. We’re proud to sponsor the event for a third year and hope it will raise lots of money for a fantastic cause.”
So go on – sign up for St Gemma’s flagship event and have a Saturday night out with a difference – and know that you will be making a difference to St Gemma’s in 2016. Registration is £20 per walker and is open now their website at: www.st-gemma.co.uk/leedsmidnightwalk  or call 0113 218 5505.
