Just checked the grid ref. I walked below those crags a couple of weeks back. A lovely spot to laze on a late spring afternoon, I imagine.

Gosh...so many to choose from..

Local to home, I like to sit on the top of Tumbling Hill. It’s generally a quiet spot & has fab views in all directions O0

Also, there are quite a few spots on Anglesey that I always go back to, just to sit quietly & enjoy 8)

Crooksbury Hill at the top of Crooksbury Common, near Farnham in Surrey.  Looking south there is nothing but countryside, woods and distant hills with, on a clear day, further hills beyond them.  Almost like glimpsing far lands, well to me anyway.

Also Old Winchester Hill in Hampshire, an iron age hillfort with views to the Solent.

This was probably my favourite place to eat. Magnificent views with friends I had made on the GR10

I have fond memories of that spot from when the kids were toddlers.  A little gem of solitude amongst the conurbations.

It is on Offa's Dyke path, but I am not sharing it as it is perfect, IMO  ;D

I have so many favourite places, but one that comes to mind is the area near Loch Coire Mhic Fhearcair on Beinn Eighe. It is a surreal place. Sail Mhor towers above the loch, and when you look the other way you see this:

Mine is The Loe near Helston.
Has three sorts of water river, lake and sea.
Has trees, a rare thing in Cornwall, pasture, sand and cliffs.
Has, roads, paths, beach and, for the adventurous, scrabbling.
Has free parking and an expensive cafe.
A good way to spend 2 hours and walk 6 miles.

Sorry, I'll go  back to Pedants corner
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

Adventurous scrabbling - that's when you play it in Klingon.  One wrong word and the bat'leths come out!

Not to far from here I must head down that way.  I do enjoy a spot Scrabbling on a walk.  MrsG is not so keen  and prefares stares where available.  Which is odd as she can spell far better than me.

Was there yesterday, in the rain.  Tehidy today I think.

One of my favourite spots is from the smaller hills looking out to the Blabheinn range and beyond that over to the main Cuillin ridge.
The smaller hills, both Grahams, Beinn Dearg Bheag and Beinn Dearg Mhor are accessible from the road from Broadford that leads down to Loch Slapin and on to Elgol.
