I've been using Autostitch, Microsoft ICE and Canon's Photostitch though I find them quite limited and offer little control.
I'd love to get to grips with Hugin but I must be being a bit dim, I understand loading the images and setting the control points, it's the following bit where it seems to just go pear-shaped!

What I need is an idiots guide  :D

I've been wrestling with Hugin (panorama software) for the last couple of days and think I might have just cracked it!
I know it's not walking-related but here's a panorama consisting of four images:

No need to apologise for it not being walking related, a great shot is a great shot (or four of them in this case)

A great panorama.

Taking some of the advice on here I tried a pano or Alport Castles and it worked really well except I stopped too soon! So it's not as impressive as it should be.

Still will link them when I do the trip report.

Dazza, thanks very much for the praise and encouragement which means a lot coming from yourself who's panoramas on the previous page inspired me to persevere with Hugin!

I'm off for a couple of weeks and have promised myself to take many more photos with the intention of stitching them. Hopefully, practice and more practice using Hugin will pay dividends.

Please post more of your own when you can, any additional info or hints that might be of help would be brilliant!

Just cobbled this one together in Autostitch. Six portrait shot stitch of the Nant Ffrancon from Glyder Fach in Snowdonia, including the missus pouring a cup of tea:

No problem Glyn. Credit where credits due.

I've not taken that many panoramas lately, but below is the latest and the best of the rest as it where. In both forum friendly and not so forum friendly links.
