I'm hoping to get out to the Pyrenees next year.  Can anyone recommend areas to visit and the best time to go?

Suspect summer will be very very hot.  Autumn - Sept, Oct probably - possible snow.  Spring / early summer should show wildflowers (which will all be just seedheads in autumn.)

One Spanish HQ for walking is  http://www.fedme.es/index.php  sharpen up the Spanish.

I've only skied up in the Pyrenees but an ambition is to walk there so any great walks you bring back...
