Ey up folks

I've been lurking a while and thought it was time I said hello. I'm Dunc, a fat (generally) gobby Yorkshireman. I took up walking about eighteen months ago to lose weight and got hooked - my only problem is getting time to actually go at the moment. I have loads of hikes planned (mostly in the Dales and South Pennines) but too much to do. So I'm walking vicariously for now.  ;D

Hi Dunc.  Great part of the country you're in there.  Reminds me I need to get up there soon.
I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing

Hi Dunc, I'm new to this and glad to hear you say fat and gobby.  I've always been gobby but now I'm getting fat as well and need to get rid of it, it's even less atractive for a lady (I use the term loosly).  Actually I just love talking to new people and enjoy discovering how other folks live.  I'm in Lincolnshire on the fens , flat, flat, flat.  I discovered walking a few years back and have done one or two but not nearly enough.  Now due to the recession I have weekends off and time for me me me.
