Is this good news?  :-\ The Lake District Foundation are partners in this? The foundation Terry Abraham has just resigned from?

Quote from Terry Abraham's facebook post
"Treetop Trek have revealed in their plans they’ll donate sums to The Lake District Foundation if the eight zipwires over Thirlmere are approved by the national park authority. The director of The Lake District Foundation revealed at the launch they’d take money from anyone, anywhere and as much as possible to make the charity a success in the future"

It seems that Thirlmere is in danger of being sacrificed to fund other projects. Yes, funding is required to rebuild the Keswick Railway path but it should not come as a result of harming Thirlmere ...again.

If the damaged railway path had been in the south east, the rebuilding would have been funded by the government.

You would be lucky getting any money from any Government when as Liam Burn wrote "there is no money left"!
