Boxing day trip over to the Lakes. Drove over to Seathwaite and sat in the car for 1/2 hr due to heavy rain/sleet. Forecast was for sunshine and clear skies from midday. In the event it didn't clear until 3pm and everything was clouded over above 2600ft. Went up to Styhead tarn and onto the Corridor route. The rock step was in a horrible condition so I showed a couple who where struggling on it, a way around the top of the buttress/ knoll and then went onto Scafell Pike. Gave Great End a miss on the way back due to the cloud which then cleared on route to Esk Hause. Down to the car in 5 1/2 hrs, a good Xmas work out in snow. Route very quiet, only saw 10 people all day.
Path over the top of Piers Gill.
