Wondered how many others used this site for working out daylight hours walking on the hills?

I've found it very handy as you can change the date to any day of the year.

Thanks, that's good, much better than the one I have bookmarked which is
http://sunrisehour.com/

The problem with my one is it doesn't have enough places on it, so for somewhere in North Wales for example you have to select Liverpool which is on the same longitude.

I'm getting rid of that now and bookmarking your one instead.

The BBC weather app also gives sunrise and sunset times for up to 10 days ahead.  Good enough for short term planning and you get a weather forecast thrown in.

I looked, but its too complicated for my brain. If I want to judge how much daylight I've got when on the trail I just raise my hand to the horizon and assume one finger, still in daylight equals about one hour of daylight left. Very, very crude but my brain accepts it as a rough answer to know when I should stop or push on.

It doesn't work overseas, unless I'm missing a trick.
I just tried it for Manila, where my wife will be in February, and it shows sunrise at 22:25 and daylight from then till sunset at 09:57. It must be showing UK times, seeing as Manila is 8 hours ahead of us.

I use an App called “Daylight” for the iPhone. You can select current location or scroll the map to where you want to see. Works for UK and abroad and you can choose the date.
