Hi, used to be a regular gym goer ..... until, having to have a double hip replacement last year, still recovering, but getting out and doing a few miles walking. Its amazing finding a use for my legs again lol.

Good luck with your recovery, there are guys here with hip replacements and stay pretty active, so I hope your fitness goes from strength to strength  ;)

Welcome from Portsmouth. I walked on the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt a while ago and just after Champex I met a couple of old USA blokes en route. One, 83 yrs old, had had both hips done, the other, 79 years old had one done, both were going to Zermatt, slowley. Did they make it, sorry no idea.
