Cloud inversion Kinder Scout
« on: 17:14:54, 11/12/09 »
Looking at the weather forcast with fog and high pressure building the chances of a cloud inversion was high so took the gamble by having the day of work and headed for Kinder scout the result as they say " I wasn't dissapointed"
The day started very frosty but had the most magical inversion at the end the mist beat me by coming in but saw more than enough to make this a great day out. Here's a few pictures from todays walk.

Cracking pictures Mark, looks like you had a good day. I love being above the clouds you could be anywhere in the world when it's like that.

Thanks for sharing the pics mate.

Good decision!

That looks magical, the colour of the sky is awesome.
I don't imagine there is many opportunities to see that on Kinder, so I reckon you're very privileged, thanks for sharing.

Cheers everyone  O0 And for once the Mwis Weather forcast predicted it and got it right, lost count the amount of times I've read about inversions and been clagged in mist all day  :(

Don't know if your working this weekend Granty but if not, on the way back home the area around Ladybower and the Hope Valley was filling up with thick mist with the tops clear, might be a good weekend to be out and about with your camera  O0
