With kids
« on: 22:27:33, 06/04/09 »
Hi

Am a bit of a newbie but we are very enthusiastic.  We are coming to the lakes and staying near Ambleside  :)
We have 2 kids one 3 1/2 and one in a backpack. We've done Catbells with them both (and the husband and I have recently done Haystacks) and we are thinking of doing Loughrigg and Brant Fell with kids.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions for kiddie friendly walks??

Kind regards
Kathryn

Hi WM,

I think whatever way you do things, you had better get your husband a comfy 'ride on' rucksack  ;D   I took my 3 1/2 yo lad up Plaice Fell and carried him up the last bit and all the way down on my shoulders and rucksack !!

We didn't half laugh about it,  ???

Luckily enough now he is nearly 15 and has two independant legs,  sorry not much help for now, just thought I'd share what I think is a quite common experience.

Gook luck,

Graham
