Had a brief 4 night stay in Pooley Bridge in between Christmas and New Year, bit of a lazy one as it was our Honeymoon but did manage to get out on one proper walk - Gowbarrow fell, just further up from Aira Force.

Quite an easy walk, short in distance, around 4 miles in total and not too much in height, summit is 1,578ft (its about 1,000ft of ascent). We did this last week, and whilst the wind wasn't too bad it was cold and the rain at the car park was near enough snow on the summit.

The views from the top are good, but not fantastic so its worth the short walk to Green Hill where the view to the head of Ullswater is brilliant.

Couple of photo's attached but my camara battery was fading and it just had enough life left in it to capture the view from Green Hill.

The other photos are either of the walk up to the summit, sunrise from our room balcony overlooking Ullswater and one on the banks of Haweswater.
