Bimble in Yorkshire
« on: 15:14:58, 27/07/19 »

Some pics of my recent Yorkshire bimble on Monday/Tuesday. I stayed at Church Farm B & B, at Kilburn which I can recommend. Cost me £80 for two nights. Large room, clean en suite, good breakfast, Contact Carol if you fancy it. Good location for walking. Car parking and wifi.  http://www.churchfarmkilburn.co.uk/

Cows thankfully behind the fence. Behind the church at Kilburn.

Struggling to post this. The pics are too big and fill the box, so can't scroll down to add another one.

Managed 12 miles on the first day, very hot but windy. Only 4 miles on the second day. Far too hot to do any more.

Lovely green land, and that cottage garden is a beauty - inspiration for the house that we are moving to, which has a sterile garden of box bushes and gravel.

PS - strayed on to your Thirsk blog - those yarnbombed bollards are amazing - particularly liked the owl and the pussycat!

Hi Richard. I love a cottage garden. We have some sterile gardens round here, looks like they trim the lawns with nail scissors, that's if they have not been block paved or tarmacked over.

Yes, the yarn bombing is amazing. It's great how the community has joined forces and produced so much art in the town. It brightens even the dullest days.

Good luck with your new landscaping project.

Thanks Ilona. We've got to negotiate the house move first!
