the older I get the more I miss home.
We planned this trip in January after the Spine Race, it made me home sick
We have another trip booked in the summer.
that blowing sand reminds me of Orkney.
We did think of you on the beach in Orkney, thinking you would be used to the wind blowing that strong!
Go back in May and early June and take the boat from Seahouses to the Farnes.
I would but I don't travel well on a boat
Thanks beefy, Dovegirl, Karl.
Dunstanburgh Castle, a bit further south, is really atmospheric.
I'm sure we went there on a school trip too, we did a lot of the castles in Northumberland.
Fantastic place,
It is
Spent a number of holidays round there over the years.
It is a fab place
BTW dogs are not allowed on the island.
We can't leave Squeaky behind
I will stay on dry land with Squeaks, beefy can go and be seasick
Its like Squeaky on tour, a dog going to places I never have! Looks a nice place
She really enjoyed the beach.
I love Embleton Bay a wee bit better, huge stretch of sand, very few people and a bit further down the Sugar Sands.
I've never been to that one, or at least I can't remember going there.
