This walk is a bit of a local legend around here (East Yorks) .. I know a few people who have completed it.
I was chatting to my Step-dad recently about it, he completed the walk before it was popular, and he ferreted out his coffin badge for me, he stared at it whistfully for a bit .. remembering. It's now a very popular route for charity walking and the scouts, something which has put some people off, as the amount of people it attracts undoubtedly has had an effect on the countryside.
My opinions on it are divided, I enjoy walking long distance, but where is the fun to be found in the pain?
