Goyt Valley footpath still inacessible
« on: 11:52:14, 11/05/13 »
I was hiking up the Goyt Valley on tuesday and took a brief detour along the forest footpath way just to note wether the PNP has managed to get around fixing the footpath-bridge which crosses Deep Clough, above Fernille Reservoir. Sure enough the bridge is still in pieces at the bottom of the Clough, its not too much of an inconvenience given there is a waterside path however for anyone ascending the higher route it would be a pain in the backside to discover they need to backtrack some 15 miles along the way they've just come from.

Just a heads-up for anyone doing this route, and for anyone in the PNP who is able to rectify the issue.
