Seems to me the LDNPA are encouraging this kind of application. Truly shocking and I will be engaging fully with the campaign, as, I'm sure, will many others.

With the world's population expanding each year, pus global warming, sea levels rising and the possibility that some parts of the world will become just too hot for human beings to live in, where will they all want to go? Whyto the northern hemisphere of course! So on that basis houseboats on rivers and lakes across the UK doesn't feel that far fetched to me at all.

Maybe not social housing, but many of the people arriving here will the have money to buy, buy, buy! We know that this is already being done on land properties so why not on the water? Could be a glorious time for Capitalism, a whole new industry for the country, jobs for many, real wealth for a few and so on! I have taken note of how life has really changed over my lifetime, I may not like the idea but in capitalist and economy terms it could be a good idea? Holland does it on and along its waters, so why not here?

I have cut out the rest of the words you wrote GWM, in order for me to agree with anything you said, I hope you don't mind  ;) Surely GWM, you can't think putting holiday "homes" on a small lake like Grasmere is a good thing? Have you had too much Christmas Spirit already?  :-\

Why not here?

Because it's in a effing national park.

I don't have to change anything you wrote pdstsp   :)

Don't worry, the National Park Authority would never allow such a crazy scheme.

Succinct, accurate Anglo Saxon.

Yes, sorry about the Anglo Saxon. The campaign Facebook page has some advice on wording.  I think the critical thing is numbers.  I am at a family do tonight but will engage fully tomorrow. I really cannot believe this one.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Yes, sorry about the Anglo Saxon.
No apology required, absolutely justified.
