Title: edale walk .
Post by: kevilsonlad on 22:20:34, 13/11/17

hi guys a few of us are going to Castleton for  few nights soon for a walking weekend .
One walk involves walking from Edale to Grindslow knoll then across to Rowland Cote Moor via Ringing Roger but can anyone confirm there is a path from Rowland Cote Moor down to the main path just above Woodhouse farm . I am asking because on the Viewranger map on their website its shows a path following the wall all the way down ......Theres no path on any other maps tho.

The paths a few metres west of the wall all the way down, crossing at the T in the broken wall to join the public right of way above the farm as it gets close to the trees. It was a good track the last time I used it, mainly a quad bike path but used by a few of the Rangers out of Edale if they want to come down on a more direct route. Its all access land along the wall so there's no problem veering to have a nosey at things and the views are quite nice across the Vale - There used to be a Kinder mailbox in a top corner of the wall for a while - unsure if its still there tho
