I too have a pair of Craghoppers that must be getting on for the quarter of a century mark. I had a pair of Rohans as well, but they had to go after they shrunk alarmingly round the waist!

Hmm, I had a pair of winter walking salopettes that I had to retire for exactly the same reason - must have washed them at too high a temperature......

It's a well known FACT that clothes shrink when you don't wear them. They are worse when in a wardrobe or other dark place.

Not sure about the longevity, but I've been wearing these for a few weeks now and at the price of just under £8 on Amazon they're a bargain hiking pant and suit my needs. I also have a pair of Craghoppers at 4 times the price and can't see that they're 4 times better
