Title: Coast to Coast - Whitehaven to Whitburn
Post by: troyf on 17:51:00, 10/09/17

Hello all,

A quick question with regards to a Coast to Coast route I've mapped out, from Whitehaven to Whitburn (more details below). If anyone could offer info on this; whether you've done it or something similar before, and whether you might foresee any issues with the route, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking of running it in 4 days with a friend, neither of us are proper fell runners but want to give it a go and see how it unfolds.

The route has been mapped as is due to it being the shortest/ easiest I could find:
 Day 1 - 30.1 miles, 1894ft climb - Whitehaven to West Woodside -  plotaroute(dot)com/route/383846
Day 2  - 29 miles, 1608ft climb - West Woodside to Haltwhistle - plotaroute(dot)com/route/383849
Day 3 - 29.5 miles, 1883ft climb - Haltwhistle to Heddon on the Wall - plotaroute(dot)com/route/383855
Day 4 - 20.1 miles, 873 ft climb - Heddon on the wall to Seaburn - plotaroute(dot)com/route/383872
