A winters weekend in the Lakes!
« on: 13:31:37, 02/12/08 »
Hi all we've been over to the Lakes this weekend, stayed in Rosthwaite for a couple of nights, the weather was brilliant, lots of blue sky ans sun, but very cold, it was -7ēC in the car park yesterday morning! We managed a couple of walks, High Spy on Saturday and Ullscarf on Sunday both where really good with some excellent views from the summits. I've attached a couple of photo's below, and as normal there's plenty more about these walks on my web site and blog for anyone that is interested. http://www.mywainwrights.co.uk

Just been on your site Gary - really enjoyed the pictures - first class photography. You must have many megapixels as well as a good eye.

Pete - thanks for the comments and taking the time to have a look at my site, as you have noticed one of my passions is photography which is the reason I started the web site in the first place, as every one kept asking to see more of my photo's and I found picasa, web shots etc didn't allow me to do everything that I wanted. I knew nothing about web sites when I started this time last year, but I've been on a steep learning curve, and I've just started a 3 year course in web site design and management!

Thanks E, really glad you liked the site, I've only got this years walks on at the moment as I'm updating the rest of them hope to get them back on really soon so there will be lots more to have a look at. Was hoping to go over to the Lakes again this morning but I hadn't got very far from home and the windscreen wipers stopped working on the car, I'm just about to go to the garage to see if they can do anything with them!
Loved your photo's, I'd seen some of them before of Dave Brown's site, I've only ever been to the Kentmere valley once before, will be going again there fairly soon to finish off some of the Wainwrights that we haven't done yet.
