It's many years since I saw anyone skating on one of the Lakeland tarns but today for the first time had a go myself and this time the pics are on the blog http://www.windermere-way.co.uk/news/blog_files/skating.html

I was on a frozen puddle near my house a few days ago. I got off when I heard it cracking.
