Probably best hill day out in terms of conditions.  With a few days of unstable weather approaching decided to make the most of it.

A great walk - must re-visit Blencathra sometime soon, one of the most photogenic mountains in the Lakes.

Thanks all - agree Mel it's sometimes worth slowing down for, doing a 360 and letting a smile creep across your face as it's such a beautiful evening.  Getting the ridge to myself was an unexpected bonus, too.

Blencathra has to be one of the best all-rounders in the Lakes. There’s loads of great routes, over a good range of difficulties, cracking views of most of the major mountains, and good access from the motorway. I think the Sharp/Halls combo is the pick of the routes.
