TR - The Bochlwyd Horseshoe

Mini forum meet with some of the gang from here; the Bochlwyd Horsehoe is perhaps the only rival to the legendary Snowdon Horseshoe. It helps when you are treated to some sensational weather!

An incredible round and superb photos, especially the draping cloud, a perfect mountain day.

I've read the blog and looked at the photos, all I can say is wow! Not over the top for a typical walker like yourself? You are so modest. I'm surprised you lived to tell the tale!

A nice wee reminder of the two weeks spent there fifty-five years ago when we camped below the Milestone Buttress, probably not allowed nowadays ….are the goats still around the rocks? and during that time got to know the area and the rocks and hills above the lake.

Excellent TR and pictures Dave, enjoyed that  O0 . Myself and Swmbo did something similar but avoided Bristly altogether and took the easy way onto the Glyders via the miners track.
Touching from a distance, further all the time.

Brilliant TR and photos. Not done that route for a few years now and one that I found more demanding than the Snowdon Horseshoe. Great stuff  O0
