@ Mel - yes, the Mournes are my local mountain range with most car parks one hour to 1.5 hours drive away from my house :)

More great photos henry  O0 The Mournes do look great. Carlisle Lake District Airport (snigger, it is quite a distance from the Lake District) has flights to Belfast and Dublin now. We are looking at flying over next year.  :)

Thanks April and Beefy :)  Put Binnian on your to do list. Its the best walk in the Mournes IMHO. If Carlisle to Belfast isn't regular enough, Manchester Airport to Belfast city airport might be another possibility. You can catch the train from Carlisle or Penrith and rent a car from Belfast to Newcastle. :)
