beginner needing help
« on: 10:15:40, 16/03/08 »
hi my names Chris and iam posting this thread because iam in need of some help.

Friends and i are wanting to go hikinh/walking in the lakes this weekend coming 21st/22nd.  But neither of us have ever been to the lakes before.  We have got basic map and survival skills.

What we really need to know is the rules/regulations of the district e.g where we can free camp, fire's, routes and boundrys.  If anyone has a website or some useful information about them please help,  and if anyone has any  good routes planned out....

thanx chris

Hi, Chris.

Have a look at the website below.

http://v-g.me.uk/WildCamp/WildCamp.htm

The trips section will give you some ideas were to wild camp.

Hope it helps.

There isn't usually any problem with wild camping in the Lakes providing you leave the place as you found it.
There may be some routes on here that appeal to you.
