Hi everyone,

Quick intro from me - Oliver - and my wife - Laura.

In May this year we took over the ownership of Forest View Walkers Inn in Byrness, just off the Pennine Way at the foot of the Cheviots.

It's been a fairly crazy summer in the best way possible, so many lovely walkers coming through.

Look forward to meeting more of you as the years roll on!

Hello and Welcome from Portsmouth. I've already been with you twice this year, once just for a meal and the second time I camped with others in your garden. I remember you took a photo of me wearing my head mosquito net, I looked like Darth Vader! My wife would like to see that one, she claims it would be my best look! Thank you for your hospitality, I had a great time. I'll be back again next year as well.  O0

For those people who may be thinking of hiking and camping the Pennine Way. From my experience when you get to Byrness there are two choices, to pay £10 to pitch your tent on an area of grass at the end of the local campsite, apart from a toilet/shower block NOTHING else is on offer, or to go to Forest View where you have CHOICE and more. You can choose to camp or choose to stay in the hostel, toilet and showers of course, plus food, beer, wine and the company and pleasure of others. I made a mistake the first time by camping at the campsite, I didn't make the same mistake the second time.
