Impressions of the Wasdale meet.
« on: 21:23:59, 20/06/10 »
I'll leave the Trip Reports to those that led and organised, but I just wanted to share some photos with you of Clan Joester's aspect of the meet.

8:30pm on a Friday and we rounded a bend in the road to be greeted with this:

Not a bad spot - the NT campsite:

A happy camper:

Amnesiac Jimmy - stealth Brucie:

John Howells, Amnesiac Jimmy, Dibble, Lexi, YamYam, Yorksgal:

One woman and her dog:

That's not what it's for, Chloe:

Impromptu Rubick's Cube lesson at Windy Gap:

Possibly the highest 2 year old in England:

FACEDOWN:

Clan Joester above Wasdale:

Descending Great Gable:

The world's scruffiest sheep?:

Hoh hoh! That water's cold!!:

?:

I'm Sparticus takes his BBQing very seriously:

An embarrasing case of mistaken identity:

Bea meets Sid:

That woman and her (other) dog:

We had a fantastic time, thanks everybody!

Spot on Joe, was a good weekend your kids did superb.............i thought Dibbles Lexi had shrunk in the wash and those young lads in the corner tent by us left this morning looking tired LMAO.

Thanks to everyone who was there, although we were mostly spread out for reasons of security, say no more, everyone was around if anyone needed anything. I think we managed to remain reasonably covert on the campsite  ;D .

It was a fantastic location, surrounded by mountains, decent campsite. The showers and loo's i thought were kept pretty clean considering the site was declared as fully booked.

Some pics coming up, but im hoping that we can sort another Carry on Camping trip soon.

Your photos are brilliant, Joe.  They give a really nice feel to the day, and they show that there is more to a meet-up than simply "going up a hill to come back down again".  That's a quote from a friend of mine who can't see the point of it.

Your girls seem to have enjoyed it very much O0  as does everyone.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

I really wanted to illustrate that these meets are about a lot more than just putting one foot in front of the other, it seems I have succeeded so that's great.

Walking as a group made all the difference to the girls, I think they're going to get a real kick out of the Snowdonia meet.

I just want to see everyone elses Trip Reports now! ...

Looks like you had a great weekend and isn't it wonderful to see 'young ones' out on the hills too - and as Brucie would have said "didn't they do well ...."  O0
