A former British paratrooper is isolating on a previously uninhabited island after lockdown measures were introduced midway through a fundraising challenge to walk the UK coastline.
A night under silnylon. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

Look at those views too.

12k miles sounds a lot assuming he set off from the Gower and only got as far as Shetland before lockdown. Then again, it says he started in August 2017, so he must have been including a lot more. He must be getting food (and dog food) on the supply boat, too. I can't imagine he can live just by foraging.

As he's in Shetland, he is presumably taking in all the islands as well as the mainland - heck of an achievement.  I agree - wonderful place to be marooned, when the weather is good.

I wondered about that too. He says he always has three weeks worth of dog food for Jet his dog. ..that must weigh some.  :o Hopefully he has an arrangement to get more if he stays longer than that on the Island.

The reference to dogs food is while he's on the island, not when he's  walking  O0

His dog as probably walked furthest.
My Father did a lot of work for SSAFA up until a few weeks of his death. A good charity that has good outcomes.

An ex-paratrooper has completed a 19,000-mile walk around the UK coast and raised £500,000 in the process.
He set off with just £10 in his pocket and has returned with a fiancee, a baby son named Magnus and a pet dog called Jet..Chris started walking to get away from the "clutter" of everyday life.
