Deffinatley give it a go. I am no socialiser, but I have found new freinds and learnt a good deal, as a result of walking with a group.

I've emailed Penrith ramblers  O0 Let's see where this goes.

Got a photo of the view accross the valley towards Back tor woods and High Willhay?

Here you go Rob, you may need to pan accross it. But just so happens I had just the photo you requested, from yesterday's walk. Wreckage of the Dekota bottom right, Black tor woods accross the valley.

Up on Blackstone Edge, very warm with a welcome breeze. It would have been beautiful clear skies except for the fact that Marsden Moor is on fire. Followed the Pennine Way for a while then just wandered  before heading to Hebden Bridge, just in time for the annual duck race.

Happy memories of youth.  Good walking country.  Plus a fine hill climb on a push bike up from Hebdon bridge, as I recall.

You must have had thighs of iron to ride a bike up there regularly. Respect!

It was the getting there and back, from Liverpool, that required thighs of iron. A around 145 mile circuit over many a fine hill. O0

I'm leading our WI walking group on a bluebells walk tomorrow.  Our usual walk leader has had an op which means she can't walk far for a month or two.  The weather's not looking that great mindst, but I hope the rain showers hold off until we get in the cafe at the end  :)

Gower then Pembroke coast path.
With my new (my first :-[ ) smart phone - got viewranger installed so if you hear of a walker going over a cliff whilst trying to follow a route on a mobile that will be me. If you see steam rising from the west that will also be me trying  to sort the ***** thing out unless I have already gone over the cliff, of course.
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

Our WI had a trip to Waddesdon Manor and Bletchley Park so I've just spent a lovely weekend part-bagging a bonus County.... Buckinghamshire  :)    Frustratingly, I have just under 1 mile to go now for it to be classed as "Officially Bagged"  ;D

Walked the coast path with MrsG and our daughter, up  to Hartland quay yesterday.  What a lovely stretch that is. O0

Found an interesting spot to sit and admire the view.  ;)
